Turtle Nesting Season is here!!

The first nest of the season and 1st Kemp’s Ridley ever to nest on Hilton Head Island! See the video HERE.   Another video of the turtle laying her eggs here.  Hilton Head Island is very serious about the turtles, and of course, there are some common courtesy rules; if you, children, or dogs are digging holes on the beach, please be sure to fill them in before you leave.  If the turtle falls into a hole it is very difficult for them to get out.  This is what can happen if they get confused, they can fall into a pool – CLICK HERE
